The opening of the New Community Room

The opening of the new community room at our chapel was a great success. The flower festival was very well supported, with many people visiting over the weekend.

The opening on the Saturday afternoon was attended by well over a hundred people with representatives from WREN and all the main charities as well as Antoinette Smallwood MP and Rachel Bailey representing Cheshire East Council. The Methodist Circuit was represented by Reverend Peter Barber and the Reverend Malcolm Lorimer and Jill Barber, Vice Chair of the Methodist Conference, who cut the ribbon and officially opened the building.

The children from Sound school put the time capsule in place and this was then quickly bricked up to be covered by the new signage.
